Senior Physician (m/f/d) Internal Medicine with a Focus on Geriatrics 50-100%
from 1 January 2027
Your Main Tasks
- Geriatric consultation service at USZ in collaboration with the City Hospital Waid (University Clinic for Geriatric Medicine City Hospital Zurich)
- Care of elderly trauma patients at the Centre for Geriatric Traumatology in interdisciplinary cooperation with the Clinic for Traumatology
- Care of patients in the geriatric outpatient clinic, especially within the framework of preoperative assessments
- Comprehensive and professional care of our patients and their relatives
- Rotating assignments on our interdisciplinary pool wards as well as on our Intermediate Care Unit (IMC)
- Participation in the senior physician shift service of the Clinic for Internal Medicine
- Supervision and teaching of assistant physicians in training, as well as commitment to their further education
Your Profile
- FMH specialist title in General Internal Medicine
- Focus in geriatrics already acquired or near completion
- Broad and several years of clinical experience in General Internal Medicine, ideally with experience in inpatient care and/or on an IMC/intensive care unit
- Certification in sonography/POCUS desired or alternatively solid sonography knowledge; we support obtaining the certification
- Doctorate (Dr. med.) completed or near completion
- Resilient, team-oriented and communicative personality with enthusiasm for interdisciplinary collaboration and training of medical junior staff
