Head of Administration
Office for Culture, Archaeological Service | 60% | Chur
The Archaeological Service Graubünden (ADG), based on the Cantonal Nature and Heritage Protection Act, is responsible for the protection and preservation of the canton’s archaeological heritage. Each year, the ADG carries out 80 to 100 projects to document archaeological sites and historically valuable buildings threatened or destroyed by construction measures through archaeological excavations and building archaeological investigations. For the smooth running of these projects, professional administration of ADG personnel and finances and contemporary management of business files are also of central importance.
Therefore, we are looking for a Head of Administration starting March 1, 2026, or by agreement.
Your area of responsibility
- Independent organization and management of the secretariat, including filing of business files (GEVER) as well as mail and telephone service
- Preparation and management of the budget in cooperation with the cantonal archaeologist
- Monitoring budget guidelines and invoicing, management of the creditor workflow KWF
- Project accounting including billing of program agreements with the federal government
- Personnel administration
- Control and settlement of monthly reports and expenses of all employees
- Co-organization of meetings and other official events, including minute-taking
What we expect from you
- Solid training in the commercial field (KV, commercial school or vocational baccalaureate) with broad further education and sufficient professional experience
- Precise, reliable working style and resilience
- Very good organizational skills
- Solid IT knowledge and quick comprehension in dealing with new tools
- Confident German language skills, knowledge of another cantonal language is an advantage
