Your new task
As a city engineer, you take overall responsibility for the municipal civil engineering office and are responsible for the maintenance, operation, and renewal of the city's road infrastructure. You lead demanding projects with technical, financial, and political significance, consider the diverse requirements of public spaces, and rely on contemporary, sustainable, and ecological design. In exchange with external stakeholders and internal administrative offices, you coordinate the development of public road and traffic construction. In addition, you advise the director of the Planning and Construction Directorate on all technical matters of civil engineering and ensure open, clear communication.
This position is for you if
- You have a degree as a civil engineer ETH, FH, or a comparable qualification.
- You have several years of leadership experience in a similar role.
- You have solid knowledge in project management, digitalization, and planning of complex construction projects.
- You have a strong customer orientation and a good understanding of political decision-making processes.
- You possess excellent written and oral communication skills.
- You have a strong interest in building culture.
