Software Architect

Your Tasks

• Support our customers as a Senior Software/Platform Architect in demanding large-scale projects
  
• Development of system, solution and integration architectures (Microservices, PaaS/IaaS, platforms) and support of implementation, integration and operation
  
• Creation of transition/migration concepts (e.g. monolith → microservices), data migrations and backward compatibility strategies
  
• Design of security and operational architectures for security-critical solutions (including PKI, HSM, high availability)
  
• Definition and review of interface and integration solutions (synchronous and asynchronous) including API contracts and schema governance
  
• Support in building and operating CI/CD pipelines and container platforms (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Helm, ArgoCD)
  
• Creation of architecture documentation (ARC42 / HERMES / Confluence), prototypes and necessary JIRA artefacts
  
• Role as technical mentor for development teams and interface to product/operations teams
  

Your Skills

• Solid experience with microservice design (DDD, bounded contexts, event storming)
  
• Deep knowledge in Enterprise Java (Spring / Spring Boot / JEE)
  
• Experience with frontend technology Angular
  
• Security know-how: authentication/authorisation, IAM, PKI solutions, hardware security modules (HSM) and network zone concepts
  
• Integration expertise: SOAP, REST/JSON, gRPC, SEDEX; asynchronous integration: Kafka, schema registry, AsyncAPI, JMS/IBM MQ
  
• Experience in operation and monitoring of microservices (Docker, Kubernetes/OpenShift, Helm, ArgoCD)
  
• Experience in architecture modelling and documentation (ARC42, UML, ERD)
  
• Familiar with CI/CD/build tools: Maven, Nexus, Git
  
• Experience in agile methods (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe)
  

Your Profile

• You have a (technical) university degree in computer science or a comparable qualification
  
• You have at least 5 years of experience in the role of software/platform architect (senior)
  
• You have a passion for software and solution architecture and possess strong conceptual skills
  
• You are an independent and communicative personality with a high level of commitment
  
• You enjoy learning new fields and quickly acquire new knowledge
  
• You value simple, high-quality solutions
  
• You write and speak German fluently; knowledge of French is an advantage
