Who we are

Since 1961, Progin has stood for handmade chocolate in the heart of Biel. The manufactory includes the chocolaterie, the patisserie, the boutique, the Odéon café-restaurant, Progin Moments Catering, and the ice cream brand Cold Love. In our chocolaterie, pralines, truffles, bars, and seasonal items are handcrafted from high-quality couverture without industrial shortcuts.

We are looking for a person who masters the craft, enjoys responsibility, and leads our small team with calmness and clarity.

Your tasks

• Professional and organisational management of the chocolaterie (team of three people)
• Production of pralines, truffles, chocolate bars, hollow figures, and seasonal items
• Production planning according to season, orders, and sales figures
• Recipe maintenance, quality assurance, and further development of the range together with management
• Purchasing and inventory management of raw materials and packaging
• Compliance with and documentation of hygiene regulations (HACCP)
• Introduction and support of employees and apprentices

Your profile

• Completed training as a chocolatier or confectioner EFZ
• Several years of professional experience in a chocolaterie or confectionery, ideally with initial leadership experience
• Excellent sense of quality, taste, and clean workmanship
• Independent, structured working style and enjoyment in planning and organising
• German spoken and written; knowledge of French is an advantage (bilingual city)
• Willingness to start work early (production starts at 6:30 am) and to work extra hours during the high season from October to December
