About the job

The Department of Ageing and Care of the City of Winterthur offers a diverse range of services for the population of Winterthur in the five retirement homes as well as with Spitex. For the kitchen of the Adlergarten Retirement Home, where around 160 residents, staff and guests are catered for daily, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual immediately or by arrangement, fixed-term until the end of December 2026.

Your Tasks

Preparation of balanced and healthy meals for residents, staff and visitors

Compliance with hygiene and safety regulations (HACCP)

Consideration of special diets and intolerances

Ordering and storage of foodstuffs

Collaboration with the kitchen team and other departments

Ensuring smooth operations in the kitchen

Assistance with events, aperitifs, banquets and functions

Your Profile

Completed training as a Cook EFZ with experience in all kitchen stations

Experience in communal catering is an advantage

Enjoyment in cooking for seniors, staff and guests

Team spirit, resilience and independent working style

Very good German language skills, spoken and written

Willingness to work various shifts including weekends and public holidays
