About the job

As the largest certified small hospital for specialised palliative care in the canton of Bern and a cooperation partner of Inselspital, Biel Hospital Centre, Hirslanden Bern and UPD, the Diaconis Palliative Care team cares for terminally ill patients requiring hospital treatment.

We are looking for a

Certified Nurse HF / FH in Palliative Care Night Shift 70 – 90 % from 1 October 2026 or by arrangement

Your tasks with us

• Holistic care and support of patients with complex, incurable and progressive diseases during the night
• Assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the individual nursing process
• Recognising, assessing and treating distressing symptoms in interprofessional collaboration
• Promoting and maintaining the best possible quality of life, taking into account the individual needs, values and wishes of the patients
• Supporting relatives during the illness and dying phase and assisting in the farewell process
• Ensuring high-quality care as well as compliance with guidelines, standards and hygiene measures
• Active participation in interprofessional reports, case discussions, supervisions and further training
• Reflection on one’s own actions as well as continuous professional and personal development
