Job description
Develop electronic and computer tools for the Department of Physical Chemistry, including maintenance and development of devices intended for the spectroscopy platform.
Participate in the development of procedures and solution proposals.
The candidate will be specifically responsible for:
• Developing custom measurement applications in collaboration with scientific staff in the fields of physical chemistry (spectroscopy), data collection and processing. Integrating new devices into existing experiments.
• Developing new control software and maintaining existing software.
• Maintaining electronic equipment within the Department of Physical Chemistry.
Required qualifications and skills
Complete university education in physics, electronic engineering or equivalent, with at least 2 years' experience in the field of instrumentation.
Good command of Python and C/C++.
Initiative, communication skills, ability to organise, coordinate and anticipate tasks independently, aptitude to define and manage priorities.
Good command of English and French.

• Development of custom-made measurement applications in collaboration with scientific staff in the fields of physical chemistry (spectroscopy), collecting and processing data. Integrate new devices into existing experiments.
• Development of new and maintenance of existing control software.
• Maintenance of the electronics equipment within the department of physical chemistry.
Required titles and qualifications
Full university education in physics, electronics engineering or equivalent combined with a minimum of 2 years' experience in the field of instrumentation.
Good knowledge of Python and C/C++.
Initiative, communication skills, capacity to autonomously organise, coordinate and anticipate tasks, ability to set and manage priorities.
Good English and French language skills.
