About the job

We are a modern IT service provider based in Bern with around 100 employees. Our core business is the development, operation, and support of applications for the registration and traceability of farm and domestic animals. With our innovative products, we have been making important contributions to food safety, animal health, and the environment in the agricultural and food industry sector in Switzerland for 25 years.

As a versatile company, we offer you a practical training starting in August 2027 (duration 4 years).

Apprenticeship as an IT Specialist EFZ Platform Development

You will actively work in the following areas:

• You support internal users with IT-related concerns or problems
• You plan, manage, and maintain physical and virtual server systems and services
• You plan local networks (LAN), select suitable network components, install and configure them, and monitor ongoing operations
• You take care of the security and availability of systems and services
• You participate in team-internal projects

You bring with you:

• You have a secondary school leaving certificate or a very good intermediate school leaving certificate with a 10th school year
• You have good German and English skills (school level)
• You are communicative and enjoy working with people
• You are a friendly person and have good manners
• You are reliable and punctual
• You possess good analytical skills and the ability to think in a connected way
• You have technical aptitude and an interest in technological trends
