Job Description

• Independent creation and processing of customs declarations for import, export, and transit clearances
• Handling customs processes for food and food-related products in compliance with applicable regulations
• Ensuring accurate and timely data entry in the relevant customs and company systems
• Review and preparation of customs-relevant documents and paperwork
• Collaboration with authorities, customers, transport service providers, warehouses, and other internal and external stakeholders
• Monitoring and compliance with customs regulations, compliance guidelines, and internal quality standards
• Support in resolving operational issues in day-to-day business
• Continuous updating of expertise regarding legal changes and customs procedures
• Ensuring defined service and quality indicators (KPIs)

Profile

• Professional experience as a customs declarant or in a comparable role within Swiss customs
• Sound knowledge of Swiss customs regulations and customs processes
• Knowledge of the Swiss Customs Act (ZG), Customs Ordinance (ZV), and ideally the Union Customs Code (UCC)
• Fluent German and English skills, both spoken and written
• Experience in customs clearance of food or food-related products
• Customs-specific further training or certifications
• Structured, solution-oriented, and independent working style
• High resilience as well as strong communication and organisational skills
• Enjoyment in collaborating with various internal and external contacts
