Job Description
Join us as a Senior Test Hardware Designer in our Production Test Systems and Test Hardware Team, where your expertise will directly shape our Test Solutions for both GNSS module production and development testing. Your contribution in test systems design will be in both mechanical and electrical area. As a member of the team you will learn our products, get familiar with our existing test systems, master their maintenance and based on your findings, bring the cost-effective solutions to the daylight. This role is offering good exposure not only within the team of motivated test SW and test HW designers but also to other development teams and external suppliers. If you’re passionate about creating high-class production test solutions that help testing our GNSS modules according highest standards and techniques, keeping test costs low—we’d love to hear from you. Your Responsibilities
Contribute to the maintenance and improvements of the existing module production test systems with contract manufacturers and internal test systems Studying new product test requirements, defining test HW, providing both mechanical and electrical solutions (schematic and layout) Manage the prototype (first PCBs/mechanical parts) ordering process with Technical Assistant. In case of mechanical parts, prototype assembly might be necessary. Validating, characterizing and documenting test HW, providing technical know-how and training to Test SW Engineers and other teams Keep focus on cost-optimized solutions
Your Skills and Experience
Preferably M.Sc. or B.Sc. in Mechatronics/Electrical Engineering or similar with previous apprenticeship in Mechatronics/Automation/Electronics 5+ years of experience in hardware designer role (test and RF preferred) Profound knowledge of SolidWorks or similar Profound knowledge of Altium or Cadence Hands-on experience in mechanical and electrical assembly of prototypes Hardware validation, bring up, repairs, characterization and introduction to development/production Ability to work in an interdisciplinary team Fluent in English, other European or APAC languages are a plus
Bonus
Programming skills (C/C++/LabView/Test Stand/Python) GNSS knowledge is a plus Semiconductor industry experience is a plus
