Your Tasks
Would you like to gain initial experience in the psychiatric field and receive a versatile insight into nursing?
At the Centre for Psychiatry and Psychotherapy of Affoltern Hospital, you have the opportunity to actively experience daily clinical life and find out whether the nursing profession suits you.
The adult psychiatry department has 24 beds and treats people aged 18 to 65 years. The geriatric psychiatry department with 16 beds cares for people aged 65 and over. Our patients are in an acute mental crisis. The focus is on diagnosis, therapy, and stabilisation of mental illnesses.
- You accompany patients in adult and geriatric psychiatry through daily clinical life and support them with daily structure.
- You assist the nursing team with simple nursing and organisational tasks.
- You support the department with logistical tasks and help ensure that materials and work areas are organised.
- You gain exciting insights into the diagnosis and therapy of mental illnesses.
