Role:
On behalf of the client, we are seeking an experienced individual as Project Manager / Senior Project Manager Building Construction to manage complex construction projects within professional project management. You will oversee demanding projects through all relevant project phases and, depending on the mandate, take on tasks in client representation, client trusteeship, overall project management, or general planner coordination. A particular focus is on existing buildings and projects under ongoing operation, where costs, schedules, quality, and risks must be consistently managed. You will lead interdisciplinary project teams and combine classic construction project management with BIM, digitalisation, contract management, and professional project controlling.
Responsibilities:
Leading and managing demanding building construction projects in project management / construction management through all relevant project phases
Taking on mandates in client representation, client trusteeship, overall project management, or general planner coordination
Managing complex renovation, refurbishment, and existing building projects under ongoing operation
Responsibility for cost, schedule, quality, and risk management including forecasts, target-actual comparisons, and control measures
Leading and coordinating architects, specialist planners, experts, site managers, and other project participants
Establishing and maintaining project organisation, milestone planning, decision-making processes, and reporting structures
Conducting structured project controlling and reporting to clients and other decision-making bodies
Coordinating planning, tendering, awarding, and implementation processes and monitoring relevant interfaces
Participating in contract, change, and claim management as well as reviewing cost and schedule impacts
Applying and further developing BIM and digital project management processes for planning, coordination, and documentation
Using MS Project, Provis, Messerli or comparable systems for schedule, cost, and project control
Ensuring transparent project administration, invoice verification, and project documentation in compliance with relevant SIA standards
Qualifications:
University degree at Bachelor or Master level in Architecture, Civil Engineering or a comparable construction-related discipline
At least 5 years of professional experience in a project or sub-project management role within the Swiss construction environment
Solid experience in managing and coordinating complex building construction projects, ideally also with existing buildings or projects under operation
Knowledge of cost, schedule, quality, risk, and contract management as well as relevant SIA standards
Experience with BIM and digital project management and knowledge of Provis or Messerli is an advantage
Very good user skills in Microsoft 365 / MS Office and MS Project
Very good German language skills and good English skills
