As part of strengthening its data platform, we are recruiting a Data Virtualization Expert for a permanent position (80–100%), based in Lausanne.
Reporting to the Applications Manager, you play a central role in the design, implementation, and operation of the Denodo data virtualization platform. You are responsible for the proper functioning, performance, and evolution of the solution in a production environment.
Your main responsibilities:
Ensure the operational maintenance (MCO) of the Denodo platform.
Manage patches, updates, and upgrades of the solution.
Guarantee optimal performance, availability, and reliability of services.
Design and evolve data virtualization layers.
Support business and technical teams in using the platform.
Ensure compliance with security, governance, and data conformity requirements.
Contribute to the integration of Denodo into a hybrid IT system (cloud / on-premise).
The position is within a demanding institutional environment, with strong quality, traceability, and service continuity requirements.
Engineering degree EPF / HES in computer science or equivalent training.
Minimum 8 years of experience in data fields.
3 to 5 years of confirmed experience in data integration or virtualization.
Proven production experience with Denodo.
Denodo certification (Developer and/or Administrator) highly appreciated.
Excellent mastery of Denodo (VQL, modeling, optimization).
Strong level in SQL and query optimization.
Experience in ETL / ELT and integration of heterogeneous sources.
Knowledge of hybrid cloud / on-premise architectures.
Good understanding of data governance, security, and compliance issues.
Experience with BI / Analytics tools (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik or equivalents).
High autonomy and ability to act as a technical reference.
Analytical mind, rigor, and sense of responsibility.
Ability to collaborate with business and IT teams.
Ability to explain complex technical topics in a structured manner.
French: native level or perfectly mastered (spoken and written).
Technical English required (documentation, vendor exchanges).
