Senior Youth Prosecutor in Co-Leadership (Topsharing) 70%The five regional youth prosecution offices investigate and assess offences committed by young people between the ages of ten and eighteen. They conduct criminal investigations and are responsible for the enforcement of juvenile criminal law protective measures and penalties.
For the Youth Prosecution Office See / Oberland, we are seeking a personality for the establishment of a co-leadership position with immediate effect or by agreement as Senior Youth Prosecutor. You will jointly lead the office together with the current Senior Youth Prosecutor. The leadership responsibility is shared in partnership. Decisions are made in coordination and tasks are jointly designed according to competencies and operational requirements.
These tasks await you:
- Overall responsibility: Together with the co-leadership, you assume organisational, professional and personnel management of the office with around 19 employees.
- Team leadership: You jointly lead a well-coordinated team of lawyers, social workers and administrative secretaries and promote a respectful, cooperative leadership culture.
- Representation: You jointly represent the office externally and maintain collaboration and networking with courts, authorities and other partner organisations.
- Leadership and development tasks: You report to the Chief Youth Prosecutor, participate in the leadership bodies of juvenile criminal justice, and engage in cross-departmental projects and the further development of the organisation.
- Criminal investigation and enforcement: You also act as a youth prosecutor. You conduct criminal investigations against young people, represent the prosecution before the youth court, issue penalty orders, and, together with social workers, accompany the enforcement of juvenile criminal law judgments and decisions.
This is what distinguishes you:
- You are an experienced lawyer with many years of professional experience in criminal investigation and ideally have experience in juvenile criminal justice or a related field.
- You bring proven leadership experience and are keen on tandem leadership.
- You possess strong team and social skills and have the trust and willingness to make decisions in partnership and carry them together.
- You are further characterised by strong communication skills and a great interest in educational and socio-political issues.
- You are willing to regularly perform on-call and emergency duty.
