As Head of Railway Technology, you and your team are responsible for safe and efficient railway operations.

While others are on holiday, you take on technical responsibility. Together with your team, you ensure that our railway technology systems function reliably and that our guests can experience the Jungfrau Region. You can expect a varied leadership role between technology, projects, office work, and hands-on tasks directly at our facilities. Head of Railway Technology (80-100%)

Your responsibilities include

• Technical and organisational leadership of a technical team for the maintenance of railway technology systems, focusing on signal boxes, overhead lines, tunnel infrastructure, and ancillary facilities
• Planning, coordination, and reporting of periodic maintenance on signal boxes, tunnel infrastructure, railway power supply, overhead lines, and other technical equipment
• Planning and control of project and maintenance budgets
• Management of material and inventory control
• Leadership of technical investment and maintenance projects
• Development of training and instruction materials for maintenance
• Provision of on-call service at weekends and taking on standby duties
• Varied activity between office work and practical collaboration with the team on projects

You have

• Completed vocational training in an electrical engineering profession as well as experience in the railway sector, especially in overhead lines and signal boxes
• Professional further education, preferably in railway or electrical engineering, is an advantage
• Leadership experience and enjoyment in leading a technical team
• Independent and solution-oriented working style as well as a quick grasp of new information
• Resilience, assertiveness, and clear communication
