Legal Auditorate in Child Protection (Winterthur) 80 - 100%The Office for Youth and Career Counseling of the Department of Education provides, commissions, manages, and coordinates services for child and youth welfare and career counseling. It carries out the various counseling and support services centrally and decentrally at various locations in the canton of Zurich. The Regional Legal Service takes over the legal representation of children and adolescents in child protection (child representation) and ensures internal and external legal advice.
We are continuously looking for legal auditors (limited to one year) in child protection for the Winterthur location.

Your field of activity
- Legal advice to various internal and interdisciplinary specialist offices as well as our clients (children or adolescents and their parents) in various areas of law, especially in the areas of paternity, maintenance, and custody as well as other child protection matters
- Drafting applications to the child protection authorities
- Drafting legal documents in court proceedings (especially civil and criminal law)
- Supporting the VUS counseling center (paternity/maintenance/parental custody) in advising unmarried parents regarding maintenance, care, and custody arrangements for their children
- If suitable and interested: possibility to independently represent child interests in court or criminal prosecution authorities as a substitute
Professional and personal requirements
- Completed legal education (licentiate or Master of Law)
- Special interest in family and child law, civil child protection, as well as civil and criminal procedural law
- Initial professional experience in the legal field is an advantage but not mandatory
- Very good German skills in spoken and written form, additional language skills are an advantage
- You are a team player, work precisely, efficiently, and independently
- You can quickly familiarize yourself with new topics and recognize the essentials within a short time
- You can collaborate with contact persons of various professional competencies (keyword interdisciplinarity)
- You bring great interest and empathy for the concerns of children, adolescents, and their families
- You have the desire to perform meaningful and responsible work in the service of the child
