Our Team
To strengthen our Architecture team, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for a Senior Software Architect in the credit card environment. Together, we shape the further development of our business-critical application landscape and ensure that UBS Card Center benefits from its technology investments in the long term.
You work closely with development teams, business units, as well as security and infrastructure experts and are responsible for the architecture of modern software solutions. You operate in a heterogeneous environment of in-house developments, standard software, cloud services, and partner solutions. You combine strategic architectural thinking with technical depth and accompany solutions from the idea to successful implementation.

The Role
- Transform business requirements into sustainable, scalable, and secure technical solutions
- Design and further develop software, solution, and integration architectures for business-critical systems
- Define target architectures, technical roadmaps, and architectural principles
- Accompany or implement proofs of concept, MVPs, and technical prototypes to evaluate new technologies
- Design integrations between in-house developments, standard software, cloud services, and partner platforms
- Support development teams in implementing architectural specifications and actively accompany technical decisions
- Collaborate with IT security, infrastructure, and other technical disciplines to develop secure and future-proof solutions
- Evaluate new technologies and approaches in the areas of cloud, automation, and AI
What We Expect
- Experience in the IT environment, including several years in a role as software architect, solution architect, lead engineer, or senior software engineer
- Solid technical background in developing modern software solutions
- Strong analytical and conceptual skills as well as experience in agile development environments
- Experience with Java, Spring Boot, and modern software and integration architectures
- Knowledge of API design, REST services, microservices, event-driven architectures, and messaging solutions such as Kafka
- Interest in IT security, secure-by-design, data protection, and compliance
- Enjoy solving technical challenges pragmatically and, if necessary, contributing hands-on to prototypes, automations, or technical solution approaches
- Experience with container technologies, cloud platforms, and automated deployment processes is an advantage
- Ideally experience with Java, Spring Boot, and modern frontend technologies such as React
