What you bring
- Completed training as a Gardener EFZ or equivalent qualification
- Completed training in work education or willingness to train
- Several years of professional experience in a nursery
- Experience in supporting people with disabilities is an advantage.
- Independent and reliable way of working
- Team spirit, sense of responsibility and an appreciative attitude
What to expect
- You produce plants, cut flowers, vegetables, fruit, berries and herbs.
- You support people with disabilities in a work-educational manner, structure work processes and promote individual strengths.
- You further develop the work-educational offer in the nursery sector.
- You maintain the monastery garden, the vineyard and the various garden facilities.
- You assist with weekend duties during the spring months

Who we are
For over 50 years, SSBL – Foundation for self-determined and supported living – has been accompanying and caring for people with cognitive and multiple disabilities. Over 850 employees are committed daily with dedication and high professionalism to enable these people to lead as self-determined a life as possible. The nursery in Emmen-Rathausen produces vegetables for the in-house kitchen and residential groups, maintains the monastery garden with herbs and a large peony collection, and cultivates fruit, ornamental plants, cut flowers and vines. Seasonal floristry for internal customers, guests and visitors is created from our own products and offered at the self-service stand as well as at the annual spring and Advent markets. The nursery consists of a diverse team, including employees working in retirement and groups providing active support from working in enterprises.
