The Stiftung Leben im Alter Herisau is home to over 250 elderly people. At the three locations Heinrichsbad, Ebnet and Dreilinden, around 260 employees shape everyday life in our homes. Your demanding and varied tasks:
- You will get to know the diverse tasks of household management and contribute to ensuring that our residents and guests feel comfortable in a clean, well-kept and homely environment.
- You will be gradually introduced to the professional cleaning of rooms, common areas and facilities and will increasingly take on responsibility.
- You will learn the professional handling of laundry and textiles and assist with their care and preparation.
- You will gain insights into the catering area and assist in the preparation and serving of meals in the restaurant as well as in the residential groups.
- You will learn how banquets and events are prepared and carried out, create menu cards and help with stock management.
- You will meet our residents and guests in a friendly and attentive manner and learn to respond to their individual needs as well as contribute to a warm atmosphere.
Our requirements:
- You have completed lower secondary school in the G or E profile and have good German skills (at least level B2).
- You approach people with openness, warmth and appreciation and enjoy contact with our residents and guests.
- You have a genuine host heart, are helpful and contribute with your friendly manner to a pleasant and welcoming atmosphere.
- You are curious, motivated and ready to learn new things and gradually take on responsibility.
- You work carefully and reliably, like to pitch in, keep an overview even in a varied working day and are willing to work on weekends and public holidays.
