About the job
In this exciting role, you will engage deeply with financial market law and apply your analytical as well as investigative skills purposefully. You will conduct investigations into possible unauthorised activities, focusing in particular on novel business models in the fintech and blockchain sectors.
Main tasks
- Conducting investigations against companies that may be violating financial market licensing requirements
- Financial market law assessment of the activities identified in the investigated companies
- Developing measures to protect investors and to enforce financial market licensing requirements
- Representing the conducted investigations and analyses before FINMA's decision-making bodies
- Contributing to the consolidation and further development of enforcement practice
Profile
- Completed Master’s degree in law from a Swiss university
- Bar admission, L.LM or doctoral degree
- At least 5 years of professional experience in financial market law
- Interest in fintech topics and technology-based business models
- Knowledge in the area of jurisdictional questions is an advantage
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Very good German (C2) and English skills (C1), good French skills (B1)
