About the job

• Medical, personnel and organisational overall responsibility for the Angiology department.
• Ensuring high-quality, patient-centred diagnostics and therapy across the entire angiological spectrum, especially interventional.
• Further development of outpatient and inpatient angiological care in close cooperation with the hospital's specialist disciplines.
• Establishment and maintenance of interdisciplinary cooperations, especially with Internal Medicine, Cardiology, Radiology, Vascular Surgery, Interventional Radiology and General Practice.
• Co-responsibility for the strategic development of the Cantonal Hospital and active participation in shaping care processes.
• Promotion of education, further training and continuing education as well as supervision and support of assistant and senior physicians.
• Representation of Angiology towards referrers, professional committees and external partners.
• Commitment to quality assurance, innovation, teaching and, if applicable, research.

• Swiss medical diploma or MEBEKO-recognised equivalent qualification.
• FMH specialist title in Angiology.
• Habilitation.
• Several years of clinical and leadership experience in a senior role, ideally in a hospital or university environment.
• Proven expertise in non-invasive and invasive angiology as well as in the care of complex vascular medicine patients.
• Experience in interdisciplinary collaboration and enthusiasm for networked medical care.
• Strong leadership, communication and social skills.
• Entrepreneurial thinking, high sense of responsibility and interest in the further development of a future-oriented specialist field.
• Very good German language skills, additional national languages are an advantage.
