About the job
Required Knowledge and Qualifications
- University degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- At least 15 years of professional experience in a comparable position
- Fluent English or German skills as well as Turkish language skills
- Experience with large and complex projects
- Proven experience with international engineering, procurement and construction projects
- Solid understanding of the entire EPC project lifecycle, including engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning
- Strong analytical and organisational skills as well as problem-solving competence
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a multinational and multidisciplinary environment
- Excellent communication skills and experience in stakeholder management
- Experience in the introduction and application of the company’s ENKA systems EGFS, EGPS, EDMS and EGHR is an advantage
Main Tasks and Responsibilities
- Coordination of all processes related to the construction project
- Collaboration with engineers, architects and other specialists to define project specifications
- Leadership and coordination of all department heads, especially in the areas of HSE, quality assurance (QA), business management, construction, mechanics, electrical and automation on site
- Determination and planning of required resources – personnel, equipment and materials – from project start to project completion while adhering to budget requirements
- Planning of all construction activities and intermediate phases to ensure compliance with deadlines
- Procurement of equipment and materials as well as monitoring of inventory to prevent shortages in time
- Ensuring the full delivery of all services included in the project scope
- Responsibility for overall project strategy, project alignment and project performance
- Overall coordination and alignment with client representatives
- Creation and implementation of the project’s HSE management plan
- Control and monitoring of budget and schedule
- Ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with applicable QA procedures
- Ensuring that all work is carried out in accordance with applicable HSE procedures
- Experience with international projects is an advantage
Competences and Decision-Making Authority
- Approval or rejection of timesheets
- Final approval of daily production reports
- Final approval of budget and schedule
- Approval of recruitment of personnel for the areas of construction and business management
- Approval of awarding construction subcontractor contracts and orders
- Authority to stop work under unsafe working conditions
- Approval of departmental procedures
- Approval or rejection of travel authorisations and expense claims
