Herzog & de Meuron is an international architectural firm based in Basel, Switzerland. The office was founded in 1978 and is led by the two founders, together with the partners and the CEO. The headquarters in Basel collaborates with studios in Berlin and Munich, Barcelona, Paris, London, Hong Kong, New York, and San Francisco.
For our Human Resources Department in Basel, we are looking for a Talent Acquisition & HR Manager (100%) to start immediately or by arrangement.
In this versatile role, you combine strategic recruiting with operational HR work. You attract the right talents for our international office, support managers as a sparring partner, and contribute to the sustainable development of our corporate culture.
At the same time, you will develop our HR processes together with the team and take responsibility along the entire employee lifecycle.
You will become part of a committed, six-person HR team where initiative, proactive thinking, and collaboration are highly valued.
What to expect
As part of our HR team, you will work closely with our Head of Human Resources. You will operate in an international environment where no day is the same and your ideas are welcome.
Your tasks include, among others:
- Identifying talents, assessing applications, and making well-founded pre-selections.
- Accompanying candidates throughout the entire candidate journey and ensuring a professional candidate experience.
- Actively approaching potential employees through various channels and building sustainable talent pipelines.
- Advising and supporting managers in the recruitment process and contributing your recruiting expertise to selection decisions.
- Monitoring trends, developing new recruiting strategies, and optimising our recruiting and HR processes together with the team.
- Depending on needs, also taking on generalist HR tasks and supporting managers and employees throughout the entire employee lifecycle.
- Actively participating in HR projects as well as the introduction and further development of digital HR solutions.
What you bring
You are an initiative-taking, discreet, and solution-oriented personality who enjoys taking responsibility and can inspire people about opportunities. You feel comfortable in an international environment and appreciate driving things forward actively.
Additionally, you bring:
- A university degree (university or university of applied sciences) or a comparable qualification.
- Several years of experience in talent acquisition, recruiting, or a generalist HR environment.
- Enjoyment in building networks and actively approaching people.
- A strong sense for personalities and a high standard of quality in selecting talents.
- Interest in architecture, design, or a creative working environment is an advantage.
- Native-level German or English as well as very good knowledge (at least C1) of the other language, both spoken and written.
- Very good knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite and a strong affinity for digital tools and modern HR processes.
