What you can achieve
- Performing work in the periodic maintenance of the F/A-18 of the Swiss Air Force
- Carrying out modification and inspection orders on the aircraft
- Unscheduled repairs on the F/A-18
- Participation in internal on-the-job training and aviation-related courses
What you bring with you
- Completed basic mechanical training (e.g. automotive technician, plant and apparatus builder, polymechanic EFZ or similar field)
- Strong technical aptitude and interest in working in a military environment
- Good oral and written German and English skills (level B2)
- Openness and flexibility to be introduced to and trained in aviation-specific knowledge and tasks
- Reliable and clean working method with a high sense of responsibility and endurance
- Resilient, team-oriented and committed personality
- Swiss citizenship (function-related)

About the department
In the AIR division at RUAG, we ensure the maintenance, servicing and modernisation of military aircraft, especially fighter jets – as an aircraft mechanic you make a crucial contribution to the safety and operational readiness of the F/A-18.
