The Paul Scherrer Institute PSI is the largest research institute for natural and engineering sciences in Switzerland. For our Laundry group, we are looking for a
Your tasks
- Receiving laundry, sorting and preparing it for the external laundry service
- Independently washing, drying, caring for, and repairing all laundry
- Sorting, packing, and preparing laundry for delivery to various buildings
- Handling all active and inactive workwear as well as cleaning textiles
- Independently advising, dressing, adjusting, and labelling workwear according to different professional groups and guidelines
- Weekly laundry distribution with delivery vehicle on the site
- Working in the control and monitoring area with protective clothing and respiratory protection
- Cleaning, inspecting, maintaining, disinfecting, and packing full-face masks according to manufacturer instructions
- Machine and equipment maintenance, cleaning the laundry
Your profile
- Training as a textile caretaker or comparable several years of professional experience
- Willingness to work in a small team and in a rotation system
- Very good German skills in spoken and written form
- Basic knowledge of English in spoken and written form is mandatory
- Good PC skills, Office 365
- Driving licence category B
Your working hours are usually Monday to Thursday from 07:45 to 12:00 and from 13:00 to 17:00. Occasional shifts on Friday mornings from 07:45 to 12:00 according to early scheduling.
