Electrician Installer at CIT-S

The Directorate of Construction, Engineering, Technical and Security at CHUV is seeking an electrician installer with a workload between 80% - 100% to complete its team. The starting date is scheduled for 1st November 2026 or to be agreed upon.

Context

The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in care, research and education.

The Directorate of Construction, Engineering, Technical and Security (CIT-S) designs, modernises, operates and secures the real estate assets as well as the technical and biomedical installations of CHUV. It operates in a large-scale environment comprising more than 160 buildings, nearly 65 sites across the canton, over 260,000 m² of infrastructure and real estate assets valued at 1.69 billion francs.

Its activities revolve around three main missions:

• Construction and modernisation: studying and carrying out architectural, transformation and renovation projects as well as the renewal of technical installations.
• Operation: ensuring the functioning and maintenance of infrastructures and technical and biomedical equipment, as well as the production and distribution of fluids and energies necessary for CHUV’s activities.
• Protection and security: ensuring the protection of people, property and infrastructures and contributing to the continuity of hospital activities.

Each project and intervention by CIT-S thus contributes to providing CHUV teams with safe, reliable infrastructures adapted to the needs of patients and professionals.

Mission

• You are responsible for the maintenance and operation of electrical power distribution installations.
• You manage various equipment such as IT installations, generators, uninterruptible power supplies, alarm networks, fire detection systems, emergency lighting, nurse call systems, etc.
• You oversee the monitoring and acceptance of transformation and construction works at the hospital site in both high and low voltage.
• You analyse various projects.
• You are required to perform on-call and site guard duties.

Profile

• You hold a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) as an electrician installer.
• You have knowledge and initial experience in the maintenance of electrical installations.
• You can read and understand plans and/or diagrams.
• You are proficient with basic computer software (Word, Excel, etc.).
• You live less than 45 minutes from the workplace due to on-call duty requirements.
