About the job
Clerk for Mandatory Health Insurance (80% - 100%)
Your task is demanding and varied.
Anyone living or working in Switzerland must take out compulsory health insurance (KVG). In justified exceptional cases, an exemption from this obligation can be applied for. These applications are carefully examined. For example, by you.
As a Clerk for Mandatory Health Insurance (KVG), you have an exciting job in a meaningful environment. You process applications for exemption from mandatory health insurance, clarify questions regarding compulsory health and social insurance, and issue the corresponding decisions. You maintain regular contact with various authorities as well as domestic and foreign health insurers. If necessary, you check whether international agreements between Switzerland and your clients’ country of origin apply.
You answer questions in a friendly and competent manner. In addition, you handle incoming mail, maintain master data, and prepare correspondence and decision documents. So there is plenty of variety.
You convince us both professionally and personally.
For this demanding role, you bring a commercial apprenticeship (EFZ). Alternatively, you have completed another three-year apprenticeship supplemented by several years of professional experience in a commercial role. Professional experience in public administration or with a health insurance company will facilitate your entry.
You like it when things run smoothly. You have a quick grasp and think in a connected way. Swiss and international law interest you, and you are comfortable dealing with authorities. You are a team player, quickly adapt to your counterpart, and enjoy communicating well and clearly. German and English are standard in your new workday. You master these languages fluently in speech and writing. French and any other language are a plus. You are motivated to continuously develop yourself. Therefore, you see constructive feedback as an opportunity.
We not only demand but also offer a lot.
