The Electricity Distribution Directorate builds, maintains and operates the electricity distribution network. Through the development of innovative offers, it ensures technological mastery of projects such as the implementation of the smart grid or public lighting.
Mission:
- Steer the evolution of Smart Metering solutions by ensuring alignment between business needs, regulatory developments, technical constraints and the digitalisation objectives of the electricity network
- Lead and coordinate cross-functional projects related to metering systems, communication infrastructures and the integration of energy data, in collaboration with business units, IT, suppliers and external partners
- Define standards, architectures and measurement processes, ensure the consistency of implemented solutions and participate in technological choices to guarantee their sustainability and performance
- Exploit and enhance data from Smart Metering to improve activity management and decision-making, notably through the use of analytical tools such as Power BI, Python, SQL or equivalent technologies
- Act as technical referent for field teams and internal partners, provide expert knowledge on metering systems, contribute to resolving complex issues and participate in knowledge transfer and skills development within the organisation
Profile:
- Higher education (University of Applied Sciences, ETH, University or equivalent) in energy, electricity, IT, telecommunications or equivalent training; experience in metering systems or electrical networks is an asset
- Experience in leading or participating in cross-functional technical projects, with the ability to link business challenges, technical constraints, IT and regulatory requirements
- Strong interest in new technologies, digitalisation of electrical networks, Smart Metering systems and energy data
- Comfortable with data analysis and interested in tools such as Power BI, Python, SQL or equivalent technologies to support decision-making and continuous improvement
- Excellent analytical and synthesis skills, autonomy, initiative and ease in collaborating with diverse stakeholders
