About the job
We are looking for a motivated operations manager with extensive experience in the recycling, construction, or industrial sectors and a natural leadership ability. You will be an integral part of our team, promoting innovative approaches to improve efficiency and development in the recycling sector.
Your tasks
You take responsibility for internal operational processes from a technical, organisational, and personal perspective and supervise around ten employees. You will focus on the following main tasks:
- Plan and monitor production, including resource and personnel utilisation
- Develop staff and initiate training or continuing education
- Record and evaluate key production figures
- Monitor and, if necessary, optimise all production, storage, and sorting processes.
- Close exchange of information with sales teams, technical teams, and other specialised areas
- Ensure quality, safety, and profitability
- Maintain quality, safety, and profitability objectives.
- Participate in daily activities and support the team
- Communicate at group level with the relevant operations managers.
Your profile
- Completed basic technical training
- Fluent in French and good knowledge of German
- Further training, for example in processes/organisation or technology/production, is an advantage.
- In-depth knowledge of production processes and inventory management
- Several years of experience in leading and training employees from diverse backgrounds and training (a great advantage).
- A good understanding of administration is a major advantage.
- Strong initiative and ability to act independently and responsibly
- Down-to-earth with a strong will for change
- Availability and willingness to travel (within the French-speaking Switzerland sites)
- Knowledge of machinery (forklift licence, excavator) is an advantage
- Good physical condition
