Vos missions
The University of Fribourg is seeking a Knowledge Security & Nagoya Compliance Officer (40–50%) to ensure institutional compliance with Swiss and international export control regulations, knowledge security practices, and the Nagoya Protocol. Embedded within the Knowledge and Technology Transfer (KTT) Unit, the position provides legal and regulatory guidance to researchers, administrative units, and institutional stakeholders.
Starting date: As soon as possible or by agreement.
Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and monitor the University’s export control and knowledge security policy

Advise researchers and staff on Swiss, EU, and US export control regulations

Support classification of controlled goods and technologies and coordinate license applications with SECO

Establish and manage compliance procedures under the Nagoya Protocol
- Advise on due‑diligence, notification, and documentation requirements for genetic resources

Organize training and awareness activities on export control, knowledge security, and Nagoya compliance

Monitor legislative developments and ensure transparent compliance reporting
Profil souhaité
-
Swiss Master’s degree in Law or equivalent
-
Specialization in export control law and international regulatory frameworks

Experience with compliance systems and regulatory reporting

Very good communication and training skills

Independent, structured, and collaborative working style
- Proficiency in English and in French or German
