The Recycling & Disposal department processes residual materials from our own chemical production as well as from external partners. In connection with the strategic expansion of production capacities, the existing special waste recovery plant (SAVA) is continuously modernised and a new flue gas recovery plant (AVA) is additionally commissioned.
For the management of our recovery plant (SAVA/AVA) – consisting of a high-temperature furnace, steam generation, flue gas cleaning with DENOX catalyst, wastewater treatment and tank storage – we are looking for an
Operations Manager Recovery Plant (m/f/d)
Your Responsibilities
- Operational management of the recovery plant with responsibility for plant availability, personnel, organisation, cost centres/budget, planning of revisions and implementation of projects
- Shaping capacity expansions: active project involvement in the commissioning of the AVA and the interfaces with the SAVA, definition of parameters and goals to ensure availability and redundancy, organisational preparation for the extended operation
- Commissioning and rolling integration of the extended capacities while maintaining operations
- Contributing to investment planning
- Setting objectives for personnel development, operational optimisation, efficiency improvement, continuous improvement
- Documentation of processes, work instructions, training materials
Your Profile
- Academic or higher technical or scientific education (Chemistry/Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Mechanical Engineering)
- Experience as a manager of an industrial operation
- Operational experience in (special) waste recovery, recycling and steam generation (e.g. incineration plants, KVA/MVA, district heating, power plants)
- Proven knowledge in operation and energy optimisation of water/steam cycles in various steam boiler plants; training as a heating plant operator is an advantage
- Proven achievements in leadership and personnel development
- Enthusiastic, motivating personality, responsible, assertive, solution-oriented, able to compromise
- Fluent in German (written and spoken)
