Shape the future of our production system. In this key role, you are responsible for the technical, organisational, and strategic development of manufacturing at the Sissach site. You will develop a powerful and future-proof production system, create transparency regarding capacities and bottlenecks, drive technology and investment decisions, and ensure efficient material flows along the entire value chain. Together with the management team, you will make a decisive contribution to improving safety, quality, delivery capability, productivity, and competitiveness, and sustainably shape the long-term development of our site.
Head Manufacturing Systems & Industrial Engineering Plant Sissach (m/f/d)
Your tasks:
- Responsibility for the design and continuous development of the production system, including capacity modelling, bottleneck management, material flow optimisation and long-term production strategy to ensure growth, delivery capability, and productivity.
- Overall responsibility for the areas of Production Engineering, Production IT/OT, Foundry Engineering, Asset Management, and PMO as well as their strategic and organisational development
- Direct leadership of 5 employees with overall responsibility for a department of around 35 employees
- Design and implementation of the technological roadmap as well as leadership of industrialisation, transfer and automation projects
- Responsibility for the site-wide investment portfolio, prioritisation of Capex projects and ensuring economically sound decisions
- Driving digitalisation and Industry 4.0 initiatives to increase transparency, networking, and operational excellence
- Management of strategic site projects and active support of plant management in implementing corporate and site strategy
Your profile:
- Technical university degree (mechanical engineering, production engineering, industrial engineering or comparable) as well as several years of leadership experience in an industrial production environment
- Proven success in the areas of industrial engineering, production systems, operational excellence or lean manufacturing
- Sound knowledge in capacity planning, value stream design, manufacturing technologies, investment management and industrialisation
- Experience in implementing digitalisation, automation or smart factory initiatives
- Strategic thinker with strong implementation skills, entrepreneurial mindset and high change competence
- Communicative leadership personality who inspires teams, promotes cross-departmental collaboration and wins people over for common goals
