In this demanding and central role, you take on the overall responsibility for international scheduling as well as the further development of export logistics at the Thommen Group. You manage complex goods flows between Europe and the Far East, ensuring a smooth, efficient process. At the same time, you strategically develop the organisation and actively shape the establishment of a powerful, future-oriented Export Competence Centre.
This is what you do...
- Overall responsibility for the international scheduling of the Thommen Group (road, rail, sea freight)
- Leadership and further development of a team of around 10 forwarding specialists
- Further development and implementation of the export strategy
- Establishment and further development of a future-proof Export Competence Centre
- Analysis and optimisation of goods and information flows
- Introduction and management of a KPI and cockpit system
- Planning and scheduling of transport modes (truck, rail, ship)
- Coordination of all transport processes from order to billing
- Conducting negotiations with international forwarding partners
- Continuous optimisation of costs, capacities and service quality
- Close cooperation with internal departments as well as external partners
- Contact person for customers, suppliers, authorities and customs offices
This is what you bring with you...
- Completed training in forwarding or logistics as well as several years of experience in international forwarding or export logistics
- Leadership experience and a strong enthusiasm for team development
- Very good knowledge of customs, EU VAT and export processing
- Solution-oriented, flexible personality with strong teamwork skills who keeps an overview even in hectic situations
- Quick comprehension, high resilience as well as precise and structured working methods
- IT affinity with confident handling of MS Office
- Very good German skills in spoken and written form; Italian and/or French is a plus
