Your tasks
Within our cantonal administration, we are looking for a Person Responsible for Hospital Planning. In this strategically important role, you contribute to ensuring high-quality, accessible, efficient, and needs-based inpatient hospital services for the population. You manage the cantonal hospital planning in close cooperation with healthcare institutions, authorities, and healthcare partners. For this, you have excellent knowledge of the current challenges related to public health and hospital policy.
Your main tasks
- Development, implementation, and regular updating of the cantonal hospital planning according to the federal and cantonal legal framework
- Analysis of the demand for inpatient hospital services based on demographic, epidemiological, economic, and performance-related data
- Verification of the conformity of inpatient services provided by hospitals with the assigned service mandates
- Monitoring the development of the supply, the quality of services, and their alignment with the needs of the population
- Management of procedures related to the cantonal hospital list and the awarding of service mandates
- Advising cantonal authorities on strategic questions regarding the organisation of inpatient hospital services
- Leading or participating in cross-sectoral health policy projects
Desired profile
- Master’s degree in economics or an equivalent qualification
- Further training in project management is an advantage
- Professional experience in project management
- Knowledge of the functioning of public administration as well as the Swiss healthcare system and its financing
- Strong analytical and synthesis skills as well as systemic thinking
- Ability to lead projects and manage collaboration with various partners
- High adaptability and flexibility
- Excellent written communication skills
- Fluency in French or German with good knowledge of the other official language
