We manage around 10,000 inpatient cases per year from the departments: Medicine, Acute Geriatrics, Visceral Surgery with ENT and Urology, Movement Centre with Orthopaedics and Spinal Surgery, Women’s Clinic with a certified Breast Centre, Obstetrics, Plastic Surgery – and are established in the hospital as a competent and valued point of contact. You will be responsible for

• You code the inpatient treatment cases and check the medical and nursing documentation for completeness and plausibility
• You contribute your expertise and ensure, in exchange with treating physicians, the optimisation of the completeness of the medical services provided
• You support the ongoing optimisation of documentation and coding quality
• You take co-responsibility for DRG review and rejection management, as well as telephone and written contact with service providers
• After successful familiarisation, part-time home office is also possible

You bring with you

• You must have completed training as a qualified nurse (Nurse DN II/ AKP) or a completed medical degree. Further training in medical coding (H+) would be an advantage
• Ideally, you have already gained several years of practical experience in coding. But even if you are a career starter, we look forward to your application
• You describe yourself as a committed and independent personality with a strong motivation to drive processes forward
• Good user knowledge of Excel, KIS (ORBIS) and ERP systems (Nexus PATng) is an advantage
• You are characterised by your structured and precise way of working and quickly find your way around new systems
• You have a flair for IT and enjoy expanding IT support in coding
• In addition, you have an interest in linking medical and economic topics
