Cleaning and Hygiene Agents in Hospital Logistics
The Cleaning and Hygiene Service of the CHUV, specialised in the maintenance and disinfection of hospital premises, is looking for several cleaning and hygiene agents with activity rates between 50% and 100% (permanent contract), across the various hospital sites.
Recruitment will reopen in autumn 2026 for positions starting during 2027.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals and ranks among the best hospital institutions worldwide according to the 2025 Newsweek magazine ranking. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in care, research and education.
The Hospital Logistics Department (LOH) is tasked with ensuring that care, teaching and research units can fully focus on their core activities by providing and developing efficient logistical operational services (disinfection and maintenance, patient transfers, sterilisation, catering, goods transport, stock management, etc.).
More than 600 cleaning and hygiene agents ensure daily the cleanliness and disinfection of hospital premises, care environments, administrative and public spaces, following strict protocols in line with institutional requirements and current health standards.

Mission
- You carry out cleaning and disinfection in the areas assigned to you, strictly applying hospital hygiene standards
- You ensure the maintenance of the materials and equipment used
- You comply with procedures and participate in the prevention of risks related to the hospital environment
- You report observations or incidents to your direct supervisor
- You contribute to the continuous quality of services and the smooth running of your unit.
Profile
- You have at least 2 years of professional experience in the hotel, hospital or complex surface maintenance sector
- You have a good knowledge of cleaning protocols, hygiene standards and disinfection procedures
- You are proficient in spoken and written French (minimum B2)
- You are willing to work irregular hours (early morning, evening, night, weekends and public holidays, on-call service)
- You are recognised for your punctuality, autonomy, reliability and team spirit.
