About the job

Your main tasks will be as follows:

• Ensure coding of oncological cases in accordance with LEMO and current standards (NICER, IARC, ENCR);
• Critically analyse multisource medical data and verify eligibility for registration;
• Perform complete and complex medical coding (TNM, CHOP treatments, prognostic factors, comorbidities, follow-up);
• Identify, analyse and document complex or atypical cases, ensuring traceability of decisions;
• Guarantee the quality, consistency and completeness of coding;
• Contribute to the harmonisation of practices and continuous improvement;
• Use, evaluate and optimise assisted coding and automated pre-coding tools;
• Write requests for additional information from care partners;
• Supervise and train new colleagues and share expertise within the team;
• Participate in sector activities, working groups and institutional meetings.

Your assets:

• Hold a Federal VET Diploma (CFC) in a field relevant to the role, complemented by certified training or experience in medical coding;
• Have experience in medical coding, ideally in a tumour registry or oncology;
• Be proficient with office tools, medical coding software and electronic patient records;
• Demonstrate an interest in advanced digital tools and digitalised environments;
• Master the French language, both spoken and written;
• Show team spirit and collaboration;
• Demonstrate critical thinking, rigour and a high sense of quality;
• Be organised, autonomous and reliable;
• Adapt to an evolving environment and digital transformation;
• Communicate clearly and effectively with internal and external interlocutors.
