About the job
Your new role
The Social and Security Staff is the hub for all matters of the Directorate of Social Affairs and Security with the departments City Police, Fire Brigade/Civil Protection, Social Issues, Child and Adult Protection Authority as well as Social Services.
As a lawyer in the legal service, you will advise and support the directorate on legal matters in a small, committed team and handle enquiries, applications and legal cases. You will prepare submissions for the City Council and the City Parliament, respond to parliamentary initiatives and contribute to the drafting of legal ordinances and statements.
You are ideally suited for this position if you
- have a university degree in law (lawyer’s licence an advantage).
- bring professional experience, ideally in administration.
- are characterised by independence, flexibility, analytical and communication skills.
- have a confident written style.
- possess team spirit, high social competence and negotiation skills.
