Apprenticeship Specialist Information and Documentation EFZ (m/f/d)

The University of St.Gallen (HSG) is looking for an apprentice Specialist Information and Documentation EFZ for the library starting August 2026. The versatile vocational training lasts three years. During 1-2 days per week, the general vocational school in Zurich (ABZH) is attended. Inter-company courses also take place in Zurich.

• Working at the lending desk (mainly contact with students and staff of the University of St.Gallen)
• Acquisition and indexing of printed and digital media
• Providing information using catalogs, databases, and other research tools
• Returning media to their location and preparing media
• Assisting with administrative tasks

• Enjoy working with people
• Strong interest in working with digital media, good computer skills
• Reliability, accuracy, communication skills, and team orientation
• Very good secondary school graduation
• Very good German skills (reading comprehension, written expression, and spelling)
• Good foreign language skills, especially English
