Clerk Recruitment and Service Postponement 100%At the Office for Military and Civil Protection, around 140 employees at the locations Zurich, Birmensdorf and Andelfingen jointly make an important contribution to the safety of the population.
As the contact point for all military service conscripts residing in the canton of Zurich, the cantonal military administration (MVZ) manages the processes with its four sectors, while the Recruitment and Service Postponement sector (RD) implements recruitment planning and decides on service postponement requests.
From 1 August 2026 or by arrangement, we are looking for a new committed team member.
Tasks
- Central contact person for conscripts and military service conscripts and reliable administrative processing
- Competent advice on questions regarding recruitment, military service and service postponements
- Independent examination and processing of service postponement requests according to applicable regulations
- Summoning conscripts for recruitment as well as administrative follow-up
- Maintaining statistics and the resulting control of summons
- Active support of the team in projects as well as in the further development of sector processes
Profile
- High service orientation, pronounced communication skills and enjoyment in dealing with different stakeholders
- Completed commercial training EFZ and at least three years of professional experience
- Great interest in the military environment; a role as senior non-commissioned officer or officer in the Swiss Army is an advantage
- Pronounced service orientation, strong communication skills and enjoyment in dealing with different stakeholders
- Structured, organised and resilient, with the ability to keep an overview even in hectic situations
- Sound knowledge of Microsoft 365 as well as proficiency in handling modern digital tools
- Confident German as well as clear and target group-appropriate communication; French and/or Italian skills are a plus
- Valid driving licence category B
