The Geneva Foundation for Socio-Cultural Animation is a partner institution, funded by the Canton and the municipalities, whose mission is to promote and maintain social cohesion in the canton of Geneva, that is to ensure the quality of the relationship between individuals and society. Through socio-educational, socio-cultural and associative field actions carried out by centres and outreach teams, the Foundation meets the population's needs in terms of meeting, exchange, solidarity, citizenship, quality of life, with the general aim of preventing social exclusion.
As part of the development of a socio-cultural animation scheme in the Pont-Rouge district (municipalities of Lancy), a permanent contract position for a socio-cultural animator at 80% is open for application.
Job Description
- Participate in the development of a socio-cultural animation scheme in the Pont-Rouge district;
- Be responsible for free reception for children and adolescents during the week and school holidays.
- Offer services that meet the needs of families, children, adolescents and residents;
- Participate in the development of socio-cultural animation in the district in co-construction with residents and collectives/associations of residents and municipal social workers;
- Participate in communication and the preparation of various documentation materials;
- Assume field and management tasks related to activities.
Qualifications
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree in social work, HES level, or an equivalent university degree;
- Experience in socio-cultural animation and aptitude and experience working with children and adolescents.
- Interest and skills in collective intervention and community action.
- Recognised skills in project conceptualisation and management,
- Ability and willingness to cooperate, work in a team and network: animators, instructors, administrative and technical staff, volunteers, facilitators, outreach social workers and other FASe locations, municipal services, neighbourhood associations.
- Sense of communication and social relations, collegial spirit and interpersonal skills;
- Ability to share workloads, while demonstrating autonomy, rigour and responsibility;
- Ability to work in different locations and outdoors;
- Ability to write.
- Good knowledge of the Geneva social system and the functioning of FASe, strong interest and experience in network work;
- Initiative, versatility and creativity;
- Organisational and planning skills, ability to manage priorities and emergencies;
- Ability to use common computer software.

- Salary according to the Geneva State pay scale: maximum class 15
