The Zurich Counseling Center for Asylum Seekers (ZBA) is supported by the two aid organizations HEKS Zurich/Schaffhausen office and Caritas Zurich. The work of the counseling center is guided by an open and humane asylum policy.
The Zurich Counseling Center for Asylum Seekers provides legal advice and representation in asylum and immigration law to persons in the extended asylum procedure or also after the asylum procedure. It is also an information center for third parties.
We are looking for a committed individual from July 1, 2026, or by agreement as
- Independent case management, including participation in hearings in the extended asylum procedure
- Legal advice in asylum and immigration law as well as initial advice in other legal areas
- Drafting legal documents and applications to the State Secretariat for Migration (SEM), the Federal Administrative Court, cantonal migration offices, and authorities, among others
- Independent case management, including participation in hearings in the extended asylum procedure
- University degree in law (MLaw, lic.iur., or an equivalent foreign diploma)
- Professional experience, preferably in legal representation or legal advice and/or at courts, preferably in asylum and migration law
- Interest in Swiss asylum and migration law, international refugee law, and federal administrative procedural law
- Very good written expression
- Good foreign language skills, especially English and French, possibly Italian, other languages an advantage
- Good communication skills as well as interest and sensitivity in dealing with people from different cultures
- Independent and efficient working style and high resilience
