To strengthen our network team at our headquarters in Bützberg, we are looking for a communicative and dedicated personality as Network Engineer 100% (m/f/d).
Your Tasks
In this exciting role as a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for the smooth and cost-efficient operation of the networks of the Glas Trösch Group. Your responsibilities include both the wide area connections and the local networks as well as wireless networks. Due to your solid experience, you will take responsibility for the strategic direction and further development of the company-wide network services and ensure good quality and high customer satisfaction.- Optimization of network infrastructures and architectures to ensure coverage of all communication requirements (LAN, WAN, VPN, WLAN, DHCP/DNS, EIGRP, Firewall, IP Telephony) in a future-oriented and cost-optimized manner
- Regular review of architecture and system documentation
- Point of contact for internal and external customers in the network area as well as participation in the realization of local and company-wide projects
- Assistance in the localization and limitation of disturbances as well as initiation of diversion and/or escalation procedures
- Ensuring demand-oriented support processes
- Responsible for compliance with security-related requirements in the network area
Your Profile
- Completed IT training
- Several years of professional experience in network engineering with Cisco products
- Good knowledge in the areas of switching, routing, and WLAN
- Cisco certification and knowledge in the area of security (firewall and VPN) is an advantage
- Good analytical skills and a quick grasp
- Good communication skills in German (spoken and written), English, and French is an advantage
- Willingness to travel within Switzerland and nearby abroad
- Willingness to participate in on-call duty
