Project Manager ETH Health Technologies

ETH Zurich's strategy for human health focuses on leveraging its expertise in research and technology to address critical health challenges. This includes promoting personalized health approaches, utilizing data analysis and technology to tailor treatments and improve health outcomes within the entire continuum of care. You will be acting in a large interdisciplinary network managing core businesses and building up new innovative activities in the field of health technologies.

The Department of Health Sciences and Technology (D-HEST) and the ETH Competence Centre for Rehabilitation Engineering and Science (RESC) play a central role in ETH’s strategy for human health, bringing together over 100 professorships across disciplines and institutions such as medical technology, rehabilitation, neuroscience, and sports science, supporting translational research that bridges the gap between laboratory discoveries and clinical applications. You will join a management team in a dynamic environment for interdisciplinary research, development and translation at the intersection of medicine, engineering, and life sciences.

You will support the management team in the planning and execution of the core business such as network management, fundraising, interdisciplinary research programmes and development projects. You will coordinate internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders, ensuring that various projects align with the academic mission and operational standards. Your visionary personality and hands-on mentality is needed to develop and implement innovative formats in health tech entrepreneurship, e.g. launching summer schools or developing an incubator programme.

• Completed university degree
• Master or doctorate degree in engineering, natural sciences, or medical field
• Several years of professional experience in industry, hospital/disability services, or public authorities related to health technology
• Proven record of leading interdisciplinary projects
• Strong project management skills
• Experience in the field of entrepreneurship is desirable
• Proactive personality who inspires others with ideas and vision
• Decisive, confident, self-critical, and inclusive
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in German and English (French/Italian is a plus)
