As Warehouse Manager CDC, you take on the operational, organisational and personnel responsibility for the entire warehouse area including the workshop.
Your tasks
You manage the automated central warehouse, coordinate daily operations and ensure that processes are implemented efficiently, cost-optimised and with impeccable quality. In particular, you ensure that the flow of goods from goods receipt to transport runs optimally and is accurately reflected in the systems.
You continuously optimise and standardise the logistics and warehouse processes in the central warehouse as well as within the network (regional warehouses and branches) and ensure the optimal deployment, leadership and performance management of employees to increase productivity and quality and minimise errors and customer complaints.
Additionally, you are responsible for investment clarifications and coordinate and optimise maintenance, repair and cleaning work. You always ensure compliance with safety regulations, fire protection guidelines and the permanent operational readiness of all technical aids.
You analyse key figures, prepare evaluations, derive action instructions and present relevant topics in internal meetings as well as to the supply chain management and executive management.
You also take responsibility in personnel management: you prepare deployment and holiday plans, as well as monitor working hours and legal requirements. You actively support the recruitment of new employees and apprentices.
Your profile
- Training in logistics/supply chain and at least 10 years of relevant leadership experience, of which at least 5 years as responsible warehouse manager of a central warehouse/distribution hub
- Advanced training in leadership, business administration, vocational education and occupational safety. LEAN/Six Sigma Green or Black Belt preferred
- Experience with automated warehouse solutions (e.g. Autostore, automated high-bay warehouse)
- Several years of experience in recruiting, leading, developing and performance management of employees (team size at least 50 employees)
- Experience in defining, implementing and standardising end-to-end logistics processes (including digital processes) with demonstrable results in optimising logistics KPIs (productivity, costs, service levels, utilisation, inventory/inventories, etc.)
- Experience in operational deployment planning of employees based on S&OP/IBP
- Experience in network planning and optimisation of goods flows between central warehouse and regional warehouses and branches
- Experience in compliance with and implementation of health & safety standards
- Strong project management skills. Organised, responsible, with high initiative, assertiveness and pronounced quality awareness
- Very good understanding of business contexts, experience with budgets, business cases and cost optimisation
- Very good knowledge of MS Office and warehouse management, WMS and ERP systems. Strong analytical skills and profound knowledge in data analysis (Excel, PowerBI)
- Very good communication skills and collaborative leadership style
- Very good German skills in spoken and written form; good to very good English and French skills preferred
- Valid forklift licence and driving licence category B preferred
