Senior Engagement Manager

To continue supporting our growth, we are looking for an experienced Senior Engagement Manager with a focus on AI-powered Digital Business Transformation to strengthen our teams in Zurich, Bern and Basel.

Your tasks

As a Senior Engagement Manager, you are responsible for multiple parallel or particularly complex consulting mandates and transformation projects, lead and develop your teams, create new opportunities with our clients, and actively help build our service offerings for AI-powered business transformation.

You work closely with your ELCA Advisory colleagues as well as with the deep-tech experts of the ELCA Group, including architects, UX designers, data, cloud, infrastructure and cybersecurity experts, orchestrating this expertise in interdisciplinary teams.

This includes:

• Overall responsibility for multiple parallel or complex consulting mandates – from structuring and planning through quality, budget and risks to results, including steering committee management

• Close collaboration with decision-makers and executives at clients on the C-level and across various operational levels – as the central contact person in the mandate

• Shaping the interface between business and IT – from AI/digital and IT strategy, development of transformation plans, design and introduction of future-proof operating models through enterprise architecture, and orchestration and coordination of relevant implementation projects in concert with experts and relevant teams

• Leadership, coaching and development of your team in the mandate – from consultants to engagement managers – through regular feedback, training and targeted promotion

• Identification and development of new opportunities with existing and new clients, including preparation of proposals and participation in public tenders

• Building and further developing a service offering in at least one focus area – from methodology and assets through references to market positioning

• Active contribution to the development of ELCA Advisory, from thought leadership to systematic knowledge exchange within the team

Your profile

• 9 – 14 years of professional experience, including several years in a top-tier management or technology consultancy, with proven experience in a comparable role

• T-shaped competence profile: broad experience in consulting and developing successful mandates, combined with solid depth in AI-powered digital transformation and experience in developing thought leadership

• Successful management of multiple parallel or complex consulting mandates with responsibility for results, budget and client satisfaction

• Entrepreneurial spirit, flexibility and proven success in developing long-term client relationships and in acquiring and developing successful mandates

• Confident appearance at the highest management levels, experience with C-level communication and moderating workshops with diverse stakeholders

• Strong ability to actively listen, quick comprehension and high problem-solving skills, combined with positive and pragmatic thinking

• Experience in and enjoyment of leading and developing colleagues and teams

• Master's degree (or equivalent) in business informatics, engineering or natural sciences, a specialisation in business or an MBA is a plus

• Relevant certifications in common methods and frameworks (TOGAF, COBIT, SAFe, HERMES, CISM etc.)

• Excellent and negotiation-secure communication skills in German and English (oral and written, at least C2 level), French is a great plus
