About the job

Lüchinger + Schmid AG is establishing a new production site in Oberbuchsiten and offers the opportunity to help shape it from the very beginning. In this position, you will accompany the site relocation and influence the development of a safe, efficient food production. An opportunity that does not come around every day!

What you will achieve

• You lead the production team of approximately 35 employees in total.
• You plan and control production and ensure efficient processes and high product quality.
• You ensure compliance with hygiene, quality, and safety standards.
• You are responsible for quality assurance according to Swiss food legislation as well as IFS and ISO standards.
• You promote a culture of continuous improvement with CIP, TPM, and Lean Management.
• You accompany or take responsibility for projects and support the further development of production processes.
• You manage relevant key figures and use them for performance management.
• You keep an eye on the budget and operational costs and control the development of manufacturing, standard, and planned costs.

What you bring

• Education: Completed vocational training (EFZ)
• Field: You have a vocational qualification EFZ, for example as a food technologist, cook, or butcher, or a qualification in food technology.
• Professional experience: You have several years of professional and leadership experience in the food industry. You are familiar with hygiene and quality standards, especially HACCP.
• You understand production processes and packaging machines.
• You apply quality tools and structured problem-solving techniques to analyse causes and sustainably resolve issues.
• You bring experience with Lean Management and an interest in automation technology and robotics.
• You are confident with modern IT applications, ERP systems, Power BI, and KPI dashboards.
• You analyse problems in a structured way and implement solutions with personal responsibility and a hands-on mentality.
• You communicate clearly, work in a team-oriented manner, and accompany changes with empathy and assertiveness.
