The Obesunne Foundation in Arlesheim provides residential care and support for 122 elderly people in their final stage of life at the nursing home. Of these, 29 people with dementia live in the specialised residential area "Rägeboge". Further offerings include day and night services in the semi-residential sector, an in-house general practitioner practice, 16 assisted living units, 90 retirement apartments, a public restaurant and a cafeteria, as well as additional services for the elderly population.

Obesunne was founded in 1963 and, with around 200 employees from 35 nations, is one of the largest employers in Arlesheim. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a committed and experienced individual as Head of Nursing and Care due to retirement as of 1 June 2027 or by arrangement.

Your Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the nursing department with over 110 employees (around 70 FTE)
• Direct management of group leaders, specialist and staff units
• Responsibility for occupancy management and admission counselling (residential, intermediate)
• Ensuring nursing quality and nursing documentation
• Further development of the service offering
• Overall operational perspective as a member of the management team

Your Profile

• Qualified nurse HF or FH
• Leadership training or postgraduate studies in management
• Several years of leadership experience in a comparable role
• Expertise in palliative care and gerontopsychiatry
• Confident in nursing needs assessment (RAI)
• Cooperative, empathetic, decisive, communicative and resilient
• Enjoy initiating change, developing new concepts and ideas, and implementing them in practice
