About the job
The Zug Building Insurance has been insuring all buildings in the canton of Zug against fire and natural hazard damage for over 200 years. It also fulfils central tasks in prevention, fire protection, and the fire brigade. For the Prevention Department, we are looking for a committed individual with a construction-technical background and an interest in protecting buildings from natural hazards.
Your tasks
- Professional examination and assessment of construction projects in the cantonal building permit procedure.
- Assessment of risk locations as well as endangered new buildings and existing buildings.
- Evaluation of structural, technical, and organisational protective measures. Writing professional statements and submitting applications for requirements, conditions, and protective measures.
- Advising authorities, municipalities, planners, as well as owners. Examination of subsidy applications as well as control and acceptance of implemented measures.
- Collaboration with cantonal specialist offices, municipalities, and other partners.
- Participation in fundamentals, enforcement aids, prevention tasks, and public relations.
Your profile
- Completed construction-technical vocational training EFZ, preferably as a draughtsperson specialising in architecture or civil engineering.
- Further training in construction, construction planning, architecture, natural hazards, or a comparable field is an advantage.
- Willingness to develop into a specialist in building protection against natural hazards VKF.
- Analytical, structured, and solution-oriented working style.
- Independence, sense of responsibility, and confident appearance.
- Good advisory, communication, and coordination skills.
- Negotiation skills, assertiveness, and fluent German.
- Driving licence category B.
